Festival: London Handel Festival

Internationally acclaimed Handel specialists Harry Bicket and The English Concert return to the London Handel Festival for a Holy Week performance of the Brockes Passion.

The librettist of the work Barthold-Heinrich Brockes described his libretto as ‘The Story of Jesus, Suffering and Dying for the Sins of the World’. The origins and first performance of this work remain a great mystery. However, what is clear is that Brockes Passion is like no other composed by Handel. This deeply contemplative and meditative work for choir, soloists and orchestra reflects Handel at his most spiritual and reflective.

Tickets: £15 – £65 (please note, £15 tickets have heavily restricted views)
