Music in the grand Romantic style begins and ends this recital which has a definite international flavour, with music by composers from Canada, Australia, Belgium, and Sweden, where Elfrida Andrée was the first woman to lead a professional orchestra. Rachel Laurin and Percy Grainger provide two very different takes on music by Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck and Johann Sebastian Bach.
