Morton Feldman’s fascination with the aesthetics of suspended or ‘open’ time and music of infinitely subtle nuance paved the way for the works in this evening’s programme. Huddersfield-based composer Bryn Harrison’s The spectre...is always already a figure of that which is to come takes its lead from the combination of live and disembodied sounds in Feldman’s Three Voices, while Cloche by Wigmore Hall’s new Associate Artist, Jack Sheen, draws on its creator’s powerful personal style of musical invention.
