Messiaen Quartet for the End of Time is preceded by a companion play: “A Walk through the End of Time” a 40' one act play by the well known writer Jessica Duchen, inspired by the writing of the Quartet. The performance runs from 7-9pm including a 20' interval.
Violinist Madeleine Mitchell founded the London Chamber Ensemble to perform the Messiaen Quartet, including at the BBC Proms and in the widely recommended recording for many years:
