Massive Messiah is a mass coming together and performance of Handel's great choral work. Harry Christophers and The Sixteen will be joined by 750 singers from across the country.
Handel's Messiah is probably the best known and best loved choral work in the repertoire, a dazzling, moving, and dramatic musical telling of the story of Jesus of Nazareth, using all the emotive effects of the high Baroque.
As part of the Festival of Britain celebrations, Southbank Centre's Voicelab has invited singers from all round Britain to form a 750 voice choir to work with great baroque specialist Harry Christophers and The Sixteen chorus and orchestra in this truly massive choral experience.
Voicelab is a Southbank Centre initiative supported by Paul Hamlyn Foundation
