Pintscher conducts Pintscher and Carter premières at the New York Phil Biennial

Two works composed in the past two years, one by a 28-year-old, one by a 103-year-old. Each offered such a wide span of sounds that within a half hour, the audience had been whisked through every imaginable mood.
