‘Words and Music’ is a landmark collaboration between Morton Feldman and Samuel Beckett. Beckett’s text was originally a radio play he wrote in the 1950s for the BBC, about the struggle between Words and Music; years later he invited Feldman to write music for a new production. The result is stunningly direct and laser-like, magical and somehow very human.
