Appointed knight bachelor in 2014 for services to music, Sir András Schiff has achieved the highest distinction as recitalist, concerto soloist, chamber musician, conductor and educator. His series of Beethoven lecture-recitals, given at Wigmore Hall between 2004 and 2006, continue to inspire and inform thanks to their presence online while his all-Bach programme, broadcast from an empty Hall during COVID times, has received more than 50,000 views on YouTube.
