East meets West in Zakir Hussain’s Peshkar – a concerto for tabla and orchestra. Zakir Hussain, an Indian music virtuoso whose musical partners have ranged from Yo-Yo Ma to George Harrison, performs his own work on the tabla, and is sure to demonstrate the range and depth of the extraordinary techniques of this instrument.
