The Symphony Orchestra of India, based at the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Mumbai, is India’s first and only professional orchestra, founded in 2006. Cadogan Hall is excited to be hosting its UK debut.

East meets West in Zakir Hussain’s Peshkar – a concerto for tabla and orchestra. Zakir Hussain, an Indian music virtuoso whose musical partners have ranged from Yo-Yo Ma to George Harrison, performs his own work on the tabla, and is sure to demonstrate the range and depth of the extraordinary techniques of this instrument.
