Vadym Kholodenko | Oxford Piano Festival

Acclaimed Ukrainian pianist Vadym Kholodenko performs music composed by two men born in the same year, who would both go on to become titans of Romantic-era piano music: Schumann and Chopin. The former's contribution comes in the form of his remarkable Fantasie in C major. From there, it's an all-Chopin programme showcasing the diversity of his composition. The short and rhythmic format of the Mazurkas, two dreamy and lyrical Nocturnes and a four-movement masterpiece, his third Sonata.
