Madeleine Mitchell and Nigel Clayton have performed together for many years in recitals in a wide repertoire including live on BBC Radio 3, major festivals and venues including Wigmore Hall, Victoria Hall Singapore, Sound Scotland and the international Red Violin festival at St David's Hall, Cardiff for Elgar's 150th anniversary. Beethoven's last violin sonata, in 4 movements, was composed in 1812. Debussy's Violin Sonata (1917) was his last work and Elgar's sole Violin Sonata was written the following year.
