The perfect New Year’s Concert is a blend of familiar waltzes and polkas and a few festive surprises. Court composer Johann Strauss supplies both ingredients with the famous Fledermaus Overture and The Blue Danube, as well as several lesser-known (but equally beautiful) waltzes. Two more modern colleagues add a touch of cheerful commotion, for it is, after all, 2027.
