In October 2026, the Singapore Symphony Orchestra embarks on a 7-city China tour, led by SSO Music Director Hannu Lintu. Two different programmes will be presented in the Shanghai/Changsha/Guangzhou/Shenzhen/Xiamen and Wuhan/Beijing legs of the tour respectively. Singapore’s young star violinist Chloe Chua stars in Mendelssohn’s lyrical Violin Concerto, and reunites with fellow Menuhin alumnus He Ziyu, who partners her on viola in Mozart’s charming Sinfonia Concertante. The programme also features Singaporean composer Wang Chenwei’s picturesque tone poem, The Sisters’ Islands, and Mahler’s First Symphony.
