Considered by many to be Rachmaninov's finest achievement, the Vespers merge heaven and earth through luminescent, inspirational choral music. The work is interspersed by Jeffrey Skidmore's Bell Preludes, written to enhance the performance, evoking the religious chants at the heart of Rachmaninov's music.
