History comes full circle when Stéphane conducts the suite from Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess just blocks from the opera’s rumored Miami Beach birthplace. Honegger’s Pacific 231 “picks up steam” when played alongside Jean Mitry’s Palme d’Or-winning short film of the same name.
The performance on 1 May can also be enjoyed free of charge as a WALLCAST® concert, live-projected outdoors onto the New World Center's exterior wall at SoundScape Park in Miami Beach — no ticket required.
