With its seductive sound, miraculous blend and spellbinding collective artistry, the Leonkoro Quartet has more than fulfilled the promise that saw it win First Prize and capture nine specialist prizes at the 2022 Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition. Its latest programme at the Hall includes a new work by Finnish composer Sauli Zinovjev, whose music has been described by the Wall Street Journal as ‘brisk, exciting and unpredictable’, and Schubert’s divine ‘Rosamunde’ Quartet.
