« I can’t believe how fast it’s gone. I was very young, of course, so that’s probably helped my longevity. I had to grow into the job. But I’m not going anywhere for a while, that’s for certain, because it’s heaven. I put my heart and soul into it but it comes at a cost, a personal cost. »

Children's facilities

Wigmore Hall is proud to meet the Family Arts Standards, reflecting its commitment to offering family-friendly events and spaces. At the Hall, we have baby changing facilities, space for buggies/prams and cloakrooms for your belongings so you can relax and enjoy our activities. We also offer BSL interpreted family concerts that are accessible and welcoming for the d/Deaf community.

Outside of the Hall, we work in partnership with charities providing services for families who have experienced trauma, homelessness, poverty, and domestic abuse. We are dedicated to co-creating bespoke creative music making programmes that are responsive to the aims and needs of our partners and participants.

We lead interactive workshops and concerts for families: from informal concerts for parents or carers with babies under 1, to creative music workshops and concerts for the whole family. All our family events are designed for parents/carers and their children to enjoy together. If you are new to family events at Wigmore Hall, you can buy your tickets for half price, either by phone or in person. We also offer a £1 ticket scheme for families who face financial barriers or have been referred to us through partner organisations.

Accessibility

Wigmore Hall is committed to ensuring that everyone can experience the joy of live music in an inclusive and welcoming environment. Music is for everyone, and the Hall strives to create a space where all visitors feel comfortable and supported. Whether you are attending for the first time or are a returning audience member, we will make every effort to ensure that your visit is enjoyable.

Step-free access is available from the street into the auditorium, where our front of house staff are always on hand to assist. If a wheelchair space or additional support is required, please contact the Box Office on 0207 935 2141.

Toilets for visitors with mobility needs are accessible by lift, and assistance dogs are welcome. A loop is in place inside the auditorium for those who are hard of hearing.

Every visitor’s needs are unique, and we are happy to offer personalised assistance if it’s required. Whether you need help with planning a visit, guidance upon arrival, or seating arrangements to suit individual requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your needs. Some visitors and their personal assistant/carers may be eligible for a 50% reduction on ticket prices. Please see our access list for more details.

For those that are unable to come to The Hall, our ambitious digital programme is accessible worldwide, free of charge, both as live streamed concerts and on-demand video in our Video Library.

If you are interested in sensory friendly events or neurodivergent events, please visit the Wigmore Hall events page for more information on these thoughtfully tailored performances.

Imagine Series: Informal Concerts

The Imagine Series features uniquely reimagined events which explore music in an informal environment, including relaxed and low stimulus concerts. These inclusive concerts feature music from a range of artists and concerts, some which are co-produced with arts organisations and youth-led groups.
