Llŷr Williams has been a regular presence at Wigmore Hall for more than 20 years, beguiling audiences with the intellectual breadth and emotional depth of his artistry. The Welsh pianist’s latest programme, based on his new album, explores the dynamic world of musical variations and the creative craft of fugue, shining light on a little-known masterwork by Paul Dukas (of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice fame) and closing with the towering virtuosity of Brahms’s Handel Variations.
