Trees: Live In Concert

Oscar-nominated filmmaker Sam Green unites with Pulitzer Prize–winning composer Caroline Shaw and award-winning author and environmentalist Rebecca Solnit, in a live orchestral film experience.

Presented as part of the Barbican’s Caroline Shaw residency, Trees receives its world premiere, with an original score composed by Shaw. Sam Green is one of documentary filmmaking’s most innovative and captivating artists. Known for his uniquely conceived ‘live documentaries’, his films are screened on stage as he narrates in person while musicians perform the score, creating a truly live cinema experience.
