Live, Video: Kritiken zu klassischen Konzerten, Opern, Ballett und Tanz finden | Visions de l'amen, for two pianos

Ein vielseitiger Klavierabend mit Werken von Messiaen, Ravel, Birtwistle und Bartók im Muziekgebouw, der viel zu schnell vorüber war

Charles Owen and Katya Apekisheva give an enthralling performance of one of Messiaen's wartime epics, and vivid evocations of two pieces by Sir George Benjamin.

The wonderful acoustics of Milton Court proved to be the ideal setting for dramatic performances of rarely performance repertoire. With Igor Levit at the helm the evening was both technically challenging and artistically stimulating for audience and performers alike.

An unusual pairing of works for two pianos by Brahms and Messiaen created a concert of unexpected contrasts, rich textures and exceptionally virtuosity.

Peter Donohoe and Benjamin Frith (standing in for Peter Hill) performed Messiaen's Visions de l'Amen with intensity, clarity and profound musical understanding.
