Performer: Philadelphia Symphonic Choir

In his second week of local performances, the Finnish composer-conductor offers a lush performance of music by a beloved collaborator, the late Kaija Saariaho.

In her final Carnegie Hall appearance as principal guest conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra, the French conductor leads Schumann’s Fourth Symphony and Mozart’s Requiem. 

Yannick Nézet-Séguin combines the composer's unfinished Ninth Symphony, Te Deum and the motet Christus factus est to create an ultimate realization of religious faith and artistic expression.
