Rambert Dance Company celebrates its 90th birthday

Two new works by Alexander Whitley, Mirrors and The Rite of Spring, explore society’s increasing dependency on AI in dance.

It is good to see Birmingham Royal Ballet in such fine fettle. This triple bill is well conceived and deftly performed. Not always flawless in its execution, but a five star programme nonetheless.

A welcome development during the current refurbishment of the Royal Opera House, perhaps to compensate for the temporary absence of the Linbury Studio Theatre, downstairs, is the recent opening up of the Clore Studio Upstairs to present brief works ahead of main stage production.

A world premiere that shows Alexander Whitley to be at the leading edge of new movement.  There are no stars in this 8 Minutes, other than the Sun.   

Rambert remains one of the leading dance companies in the UK. The company's dancers are versatile and agile and the repertoire is fresh and unique.
