Die Göteborger Symphoniker gaben mit dem Symphonischen Chor ein besinnliches Konzert für die Adventzeit.

Unter dem Taktstock von Sakari Oramo gab die Königliche Philharmonie aus Stockholm ihr jährliches Gastspiel in Göteborg. Neben einem Stück von Anders Hillborg wurde mit der Fünften Symphonie von Sergej Prokofjew und Sibelius' Violinkonzert groß aufgespielt.

Mit Beethovens Drittem Klavierkonzert gab Kit Armstrong sein Debüt mit den Göteborger Symphonikern unter Kent Nagano; das durfte auch der Jubilar Sibelius nicht fehlen

Zur Feier seiner 50-jährigen Zusammenarbeit mit den Göteborger Symphonikern präsentiert Herbert Blomstedt das Deutsche Requiem von Johannes Brahms.

The precise control of Santu-Matthias Rouvali yields a reference Symphonie fantastique from the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra; the Sibelius Violin Concerto is less convincing.
