Typically interesting programming from Jurowski gave us the Proms premiere of Adès’ Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, combined with saucy Weill and forcefully modern Rachmaninov. 

Problems of balance bedevilled a fine programme of some of Weill's most bitter, ironical works which improved substantially after the interval.
