Andris Nelsons celebrates Symphony Hall’s 125th anniversary with two works contemporaneous to the hall’s first season: Debussy’s Nocturnes and Mahler’s Symphony no. 4 (both premiered in 1901). 

Soloists Leonidas Kavakos and Antoine Tamestit brought elegance and gravitas to Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante, while Adès led a thoughtful performance of his own Shanty – Over the Sea.

The Boston Symphony Orchestra led by Andris Nelsons performs Boulanger, Debussy and Puccini. 

Andris Nelsons' program pays homage to two touchstones of the French repertory with the Boston Symphony: Henri Rabaud and Pierre Monteux.
