George Petrou and the FestspielOrchester Göttingen receive a rapturous reception in the opening concert of the resurrected International Handel Festival at Göttingen.

The Argentinian, one of the greatest countertenors of his generation, is today's specialist in the repertoire of Neapolitan composer Leonardo Vinci. 

This concert of Purcell and Handel was as theatrically engaging as anything you'd find in an opera house.
