The 74th Wexford Opera Festival opens with the French revision of Il trovatore that Verdi reforged for the Paris Opera. 

This Strauss-Puccini Prom concert paired the Symphonic Fantasy from Die Frau ohne Schatten and Puccini's one-act opera, Suor Angelica. 

A traditional staging by Romain Gilbert is welcomed at the Teatro di San Carlo, with a glittering line-up of soloists.
