Baltic Sea Festival

About the Baltic Sea Festival 2021

9 Sep - 18 Sep 2021

The Baltic Sea Festival connects the people in the Baltic Sea countries in for the festival a new way. Seven festival days with classical music in Berwaldhallen, Stockholm, are combined with seven live-streamed talks from venues around the Baltic Sea. Participants in the talks are some of our region's most interesting personalities who meet to talk about sustainability and music. The Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and The Swedish Radio Choir, The Baltic Sea Festival and our partners wish to see you as our guest – live or digitally. All concerts and talks are livestreamed on the festival's official website (link below bio) and the concerts are broadcast in Swedish Radio P2 and several of them also in many countries in Europe. The Baltic Sea Festival was founded in 2003 by Esa-Pekka Salonen, Valery Gergiev and Michael Tydén with the aim of using the platform of classical music to invite stakeholders to cross-border conversations about creating a sustainable future for the Baltic Sea region. Welcome!
