Guide to Classical Pride

About Classical Pride

A new way to celebrate Pride in style London and L.A., joining the queer community in joyous celebration and reflection. Queerness and classical have always gone hand in hand, so Classical Pride is a platform to celebrate LGBTQ+ music of the past, present and future. This is a festival that is wonderful for newcomers to the genre, with many recognisable tunes in the programme from Bernstein’s West Side Story to Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake. The festival features a mix of chamber, soloists, choirs and symphony orchestra. Classical Pride returns this summer with a major new commission, a fully-staged opera and their first international performance in the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California.

Where is it?

It is spread across 5 venues and two countries. The UK’s bustling London capital and Southern California’s sunny Hollywood. Venues are Wigmore Hall, Kings Place, Wilton’s Music Hall, Barbican and Hollywood Bowl.

How to get there?

All venues are easily accessible by public transport in London and Los Angeles.
