Festival: Summer Concerts at the Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam


July 1 – August 30 2019

Celebrate music this summer at the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam! The 31st edition offers a diverse programme of classical concerts as well as jazz and pop.

In July and August we bring you internationally renowned soloists such as Joyce DiDonato, Joshua Bell and Pablo Sáinz Villegas. We welcome several international youth orchestra’s, for example the National Youth Orchestra of the USA and the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester. The more than 80 concerts also include jazz and pop, with amongst others the Count Basie Orchestra and the Blind Boys of Alabama & Amadou and Mariam. All of the same high quality.

Are you a Star Wars-fan? From 11-14 July we bring Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back – Live in Concert, with the film on a large screen and the score performed live by the Residentie Orchestra, conducted by Dirk Brossé.

The SummerConcerts offers more than just music. The whole experience is one of Summer and inspiration, of colour and passion, of an evening to remember. Before the concert you can enjoy a wonderful three-course meal in our beautiful restaurant, and afterwards meet your favourite musician at our Meet and Greet-events.
