Live, Video: Find classical music concert, opera, ballet and dance reviews | Compagnie Wang Ramirez

When Nitin Sawhney envisioned a theatrical realisation of his album Dystopian Dream, Sébastien Ramirez and Honji Wang were commissioned to bring it to life on stage. Joined by singer Eva Stone, the result is a hybrid production of dance and music performances.

A cube hangs suspended at an angle and Ramirez, harnessed to a line above the stage, floats above it, fulfilling the promise of dance and the human desire to escape gravity – to fly in angelic weightlessness. 

A though-provoking fusion of b-boying, contemporary, theatre, rigging and much more.

Program Two of the Fall for Dance festival , at New York City Center, is an ionic choreographers' digest. With works by Child's, Forsythe (For Semperoper Ballet Dresden) Ramirez -Wang and Naharin (for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater).
