Opera North brings Kurt Weill's “Broadway opera” Street Scene to the Leeds Grand Theatre in a thrilling production directed by Matthew Eberhardt and conducted by James Holmes.

Weill’s New York Street Scene is a successful ensemble end of year piece for the students of RCS, ably directed by Alexandra Spencer-Jones, Robert Houssart conducting with the orchestra on top form.

Weill's neglected "American Opera" opens in Madrid with a refurbished production by John Fulljames and a strong cast led by Patricia Racette.
