Live, Video: Find classical music concert, opera, ballet and dance reviews | La Vestale

Carlo Rizzi’s conducting and a strong vocal cast led by Sonya Yoncheva partially make up for Lydia Steier's misdirected staging in the Staatsoper Unter den Linden’s production of Spontini’s opera.

Despite its failings, La Monnaie turn Gaspare Spontini's 1805 La vestale into a fascinating evening's opera.
