Witty, edgy and full of Freudian insight, Anne Sexton’s libretto updates the dark and bizarre world of the Brothers Grimm fairy tales. Conrad Susa’s music is equally droll and contemporary. 

Si Michael Schønwandt et l'Orchestre national Montpellier Occitanie servent la partition de Verdi avec brio, la mise en scène de David Hermann est globalement tristounette et la distribution vocale correcte mais sans plus.
