American Ballet Theatre presented a well balanced program of Nuñes, Ratmansky and Balanchine which produced some revelatory performances.

ABT's Swan Lake suffered due an obvious lack of rapport between its lead dancers but there was still some fine dancing on offer.

Bond’s La Boutique was delightful, Abraham’s Mercurial Son, a little disappointing but Lander's Études sent the audience home happy.

I have a theory that Kenneth MacMillan’s Romeo and Juliet is a perfect starter ballet. It is harder for experienced ballet regulars to work up the same enthusiasm for this ballet.
