NDT delivered, yet the triple-bill program never elevated itself beyond atmosphere and gimmicks.

The world premiere of Eye Candy by Imre and Marne van Opstal, best known for their work at Nederlands Dans Theater, together with a livestream premiere of Marion Motin’s Rouge.  

Nederlands Dans Theater 1’s new triple bill premieres Imre Van Opstal and Marne Van Opstal's Take Root alongside works by Sharon Eyal, Gai Behar and Crystal Pite. 

Newcomers Imre van Opstal and Marne van Opstal present their first work alongside established choreographers as Sol Leon and Paul Lightfoot. A programme where new and old, humoristic and dark meet.

It's all there; the virtuoso dancing, brilliant live Philip Glass music, mysteriously connected couples whirled into a subtle feeling of expansion. If your brain lacks a much needed moral and creative boost this is your December pick-me-up.
