Emilia Hoving makes a superb debut with the RSNO, including Dance, an exciting new cello concerto. 

After an absence of more than two decades, Esa-Pekka Salonen returns to The Cleveland Orchestra, conducting his own Cello Concerto, flanked by Ravel and Sibelius.

In this unusual combination of works, a complex motet by Judith Weir emphasised brutalism, while a complete ballet score by Ravel sets Apollo against Dionysus. A young Finnish soloist joined her compatriot Oramo for an English Romantic concerto.
