Performer: Solomon's Knot

Taking two generations of the Bach family, Solomon’s Knot reinvigorate their motets with vision and excellent execution. 

The Solomon's Knot collective offered a lively account of four cantatas from Bach's Christmas Oratorio. 

On the final day of Spitalfields Winter Festival, Solomon's Knot performed Bach's Mass in B minor with a wonderful sense of community which we the audience also shared.

In ten concerts over five days in May, the Swiss city of Schaffhausen hosts a panoply of approaches to the music of the Leipzig cantor – representing a cross-section of contemporary Bach performance.
