Stunning debut performances from Jake Roxander and Skylar Brandt in Don Quixote for ABT, made it a night to remember.

The fiery return of Don Quixote as ABT continues their summer season has proved to be a vehicle of excellence for multiple casts, many of whom were making role debuts.

ABT offer some outstanding performances in a classical quadruple bill but there was a lack of confidence and uniformity within the corps de ballet. 

The Dream is such a crowdpleaser that one wishes ABT would do this more often in their Met season, but Ballet Imperial needed more time to relax into. 

A strong opening to ABT’s fall season, the company often seemed stagnant in the last years of Kevin McKenzie’s directorship. It is now more exciting. New leadership, new faces.
