Work: Hymne au Saint Sacrement, for orchestra

A hard working concert from the excellent RSNO and Peter Oundjian, proved to be a very harmonious mix of mellow works by Messaien, Mozart And Bruckner.

Franz Welser-Möst conducted the Cleveland Orchestra in a program which also included Messiaen’s 1932 Hymne and Dvořák’s Fifth Symphony.

A Child Of Our Time brought this year's Auckland Arts Festival to a magnificent finish with its message as universal as it was when first composed.
