Work: Jephtha

Handel's last English oratorio Jephtha is beautifully performed by Christophe Rousset and Les Talens Lyriques in Halle, although the drama is a bit slow off the mark. 

Handel's last oratorio is stylishly set in the composer’s era, with an all-star cast of Handelian singers who give their all.

Poor diction and lack of heft from some principals mar the composer's last great oratorio.
