Work: Viola Concerto

Antoine Tamestit continues his Artist Portrait series with a concerto that was initially rejected by its first proposed soloist. 

An all-British composer line-up at the Proms also included Walton's Viola Concerto, John Foulds and Charlotte Bray. 

In an unusual programme, with Finnish music from Rautavaara and Sibelius, separated by Walton, the Ulster Orchestra and Anu Tali find all the subtleties in the music.
