Award-winning double bassist Nina Bernat is a recipient of the coveted Avery Fisher Career Grant, as well as a winner of the Minnesota Orchestra Young Artist Competition, the Juilliard Double Bass Competition, and the 2019 International Society of Bassists Solo Competition.
