Every year, in the beautiful setting of the Jeu de Paume Theatre, the Génération @ Aix concert marks the end of the residency of a group of exceptional young musicians and their mentor. This generational handing on of knowledge is one of the Easter Festival’s most iconic traditions.
This year, pianist Yulianna Avdeeva has come up with a romantic, intimate programme with music by Chopin, Clara and Robert Schumann and Brahms. She shares the stage with three young, extremely talented musicians that audiences will love: violinist Iris Scialom, dubbed Best Newcomer at this year’s “Victoires de la Musique Classique”, viola player Héloïse Houzé following on from her recent triumph at the Académie Ravel de Saint-Jean-de-Luz and cellist Krzysztof Michalski, who came second in the ARD International Music Competition in Munich. An eagerly awaited event!
