Our final Lunchtime Organ Music concert of the season concludes exuberantly with Yorkshire composer Norman Cocker’s famous Tuba Tune, well suited to the cathedral organ. Gerald Finzi’s Forlana, originally for clarinet and piano, and Clair de lune by Augusta Holmès - César Franck’s favourite pupil - provide a couple of calm interludes after the grand opening piece, Max Reger’s final choral fantasia.
