For twenty-four years through live performances and acclaimed recordings, Canadian violinist Nancy Dahn and pianist Timothy Steeves have built an international career as Duo Concertante. Their name comes from the inscription over Beethoven’s “Kreutzer” Sonata, “in stilo molto concertante,” which implies the two performers are equal, dynamic voices. Cellist Heather Tuach will be known to Conway Hall concert-goers as a member of the Greenwich Trio. We are pleased to welcome this ensemble of Canadian musicians in a programme of Beethoven, Dvořák and the UK premiere of London-based composer Marcus Barcham Stevens’ first piano trio.
