One of the most recognisable and captivating compositions of the 20th century repertoire, Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana is now a great classic capable of appealing to different audiences, thanks to the immediate power of the music and its extraordinary collective energy.
Choir, orchestra and soloists bring to life a powerful sound experience, in which the relentless rhythm and power of the ensemble transform listening into a true shared ritual. A work of music that, in the monumental space of the Sferisterio in Macerata, finds an amplified and immersive dimension.
The evening is entrusted to the direction of maestro Ramón Tebar, conducting a large ensemble, and features three exceptional soloists on stage: Ruzil Gatin, Grisha Martirosyan and the young Spanish soprano Sara Blanch, one of the most interesting voices of her generation, making her debut at the Macerata Opera Festival after recent international experiences, including the Salzburg Festival.
