Two powerful musical monuments, Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 13 (‘Babiy Yar’) and Schoenberg’s A Survivor from Warsaw, confront us with the past. Andrey Boreyko conducts the Concertgebouw Orchestra and our own principal cellist Gregor Horsch performs as soloist in Weinberg’s Fantasy for Cello and Orchestra.
