Beethoven with a twist: four musicians perform three remarkable string quartets.
Everything that Beethoven touched became larger than life, and when he set out to write string quartets, he certainly didn’t hold back. Wild, passionate and surprisingly playful, his Fourth Quartet is the perfect curtain -raiser for our 2027 Beethoven festivities. Today, our players pair it with a romantic discovery from Sweden and Sally Beamish’s imagined portrait of Beethoven in California.
