When Brussels Jazz Orchestra was formed over three decades ago, the repertoire of Bert Joris provided a rewarding starting point and was a regular feature of the setlist. Over the years, that warm, intense bond of trust led to various collaborations. Indeed, The Music of Bert Joris is without doubt the most successful BJO album, beloved from New York to Japan. In 2027, Bert Joris is treating himself to a new collaboration with the orchestra for his 70th birthday, in which he once again showcases his talent as a composer, arranger and trumpeter.
